Residence for the Arts is a minimal home positioned in Amsterdam, Netherlands, designed by i29 inside architects. Located inside a former industrial space, the constructing was developed permitting residents the liberty to co-design their very own interiors.
The open loft was not constrained to a prefixed format, permitting the designers to create a very customized inside for the purchasers – a author and artwork collector couple. On the core of the mission is the style by which the art work could be displayed, and have become the start line of the mission.
The designers created bespoke cupboards with customized built-in glass vitrines to show the artwork items. The double peak house allowed for a loft containing two bedrooms, an workplace and a rest room. As described by i29, “The high-rise cupboards visually join the 2 flooring ranges and contains an built-in staircase.”
