1. Tuesday Morning shuts down online shopping
The off-price retailer filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection — a result, the company said, of an “immense strain” caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, on May 27.

The designer and co-founder of the eponymous brand died after a 21-month battle with lung cancer on Aug. 19.
