Style Your Entryway Around This New Heymat Collection

A longtime Design Milk favorite, Heymat is back with a new collection of modern rugs – Grain, made in collaboration with designer Stine Aas. The Norwegian brand is beloved for their creative partnerships with top Scandinavian designers – like Kristine Five Melvær for their best-selling Sand Rug and Tekla Evelina Severin for their 70s inspired Mix Teklan Rug (we even partnered with them to create the Diamonds Rug in celebration of our 15th anniversary!) – so naturally we’re thrilled about their new release!

The Heymat Grain Rugs are available in three soft colorways – Sandstone, Amethyst, and Granite.

The Amethyst Grain Rug captures a soothing spectrum of cool lavender tones and gives us major Very Peri vibes.

The Grain collection uses a unique, abstract pattern inspired by stone and architectural uses of natural materials – “I wanted to work with patterns and structures rather than a classic motif, and I found inspiration in an exposed aggregate finish consisting of small, uniquely shaped pebbles,” says Stine Aas. With no two organic shapes exactly alike, the pattern on Heymat Grain rugs is beautifully nuanced and conveniently, even helps camouflage dirt and dust. I’ve bought an Art deco couch and lounge chairs, so it’s going to look absolutely beautiful when it is accomplished and ready, however that might take one other year.

One of the things westerners discover at first are the many parts of empty house in the garden. In actual fact, these spaces are an necessary characteristic in Japanese gardening. This house referred to as ma, relates to the weather round it and that also surround it. The ideas of in and yo are of significant significance here, they are greatest recognized to the Western civilization by the Chinese language names yin and yang.
